Sales Director, New Business Development
The Sales Director’s (SD, NBD) role is to promote DCL’s full suite of solutions to clients in a variety of industry verticals including Technology, Life Sciences, Financial Services, Transportation, Manufacturing & others. This individual will be responsible for maximizing revenue growth on a consistent basis through effective & proven management of lead generation, sales campaigns & final execution of contracts. The SD, NBD will report to the SVP of Sales & Marketing.
Key Responsibilities Include:

Pursue new business opportunities utilizing effective & ongoing prospecting practices

Nurture existing client relationships in search of new projects & referrals

Employ a consultative approach based on value-added sales techniques

Conduct high level client meetings & presentations

Act as liaison between client & DCL teams in managing all pre-sales activities

Support the creation of appropriate sales related documents including proposals & SOW’s

Maintain involvement during the production phase

Represent DCL at all industry conferences & shows as deemed appropriate

Participate in ‘DCL Learning Series’ coordination & events

Continually improve knowledge & proficiency in technology related fields, trends & operations

Contribute to sales forecasting & strategic planning
Desired Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Engineering or related discipline
- 5+ years sales experience preferably in a software, IT consulting or content management related field with a proven track record of producing high results on a consistent basis
- Must possess an entrepreneurial spirit, incredible drive for success & the ability to work independently
- Experienced at managing a consultative sales process
- Proficient at engaging C-Level executives & effectively demonstrating ROI
- Knowledgeable in XML & other structured formats & processes
- Ability to think strategically & manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- Skillful with PowerPoint & web-based presentations
- CRM experience preferably with Goldmine
- Possess strong oral & written communication skills
- Must be well organized with an impeccable attention to detail & process
- Location not restricted to the GNY metro area
- Some travel required

ASSOCIATE EDITOR
Role and Responsibilities
DCL is a Queens based high tech firm whose primary function is to prepare large volumes of data for electronic publishing, by converting to formats such as XML, SGML and HTML. We also produce many other electronic publishing formats.
The Associate Editors at DCL augment this process by applying styles to various elements in a MS Word document, parsing a converted file against the rules setup by the Document Type Definition (DTD) and performing a final view against the original source data to ensure an accurate conversion.
Detail-oriented, team players who work well and quickly on repetitive tasks excel in DCL's production department. Computer proficiency is an absolute must, as is an ability to meet tight deadlines.
An Associate Editor is responsible for learning and mastering the procedures for styling, parsing and viewing. This involves the learning of electronic tools that accomplish this work. The Associate Editor must be proficient in personal computer use and have a familiarity with word processing, text editing, and Microsoft Windows. Experience with XML, SGML or HTML a plus.
Positions are full time and are paid an annual rate commensurate with experience.

ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT
Role and Responsibilities
Data Conversion Laboratory converts client documents to standard formats, such as XML, SGML, and HTML. Currently, DCL is looking for an administrative assistant to perform front office duties as well as support sales/marketing activities.
Duties include:
- Answering door and phones
- Handling incoming/outgoing packages, mail and faxes
- Front office duties; includes stocking kitchen supplies, ordering meeting lunches etc.
- Maintaining contact database
- Tradeshow coordination
- Review industry specific sites to find relevant sales leads
- Maintaining forecast spreadsheets
- Processing e-newsletter unsubscribes
- Responding to web inquiries
- Revamping current filing system
- Write SOWs (Statement of Work)
- Respond to RFPs (Request for Proposals)
- Compare Client Contract Revisions
Reporting Relationships
This administrative assistant would report to the Marketing Administrator and work closely with the sales and marketing team.
